Verity opens at the Savoy Cinema on Friday 23 October, running through to Wednesday 28 October. It's the screen adaptation of Colleen Hoover's best-selling novel, brought to life as a psychological thriller.
Anne Hathaway stars as Verity Crawford, a renowned author who lives at the remote Crawford estate. Lowen Ashleigh, a writer facing financial hardship, is hired to ghostwrite for her, and as she works, she uncovers what appear to be Verity's chilling autobiographical notes. The disturbing confessions that follow make it hard to separate fiction from reality, manipulation from attraction, and opportunity from obsession. The adaptation leans into themes of ambition, deception and the dangerous dynamics between two women whose lives become increasingly entangled.
Dakota Johnson plays Lowen Ashleigh, and Josh Hartnett takes on the role of Jeremy. With Hathaway and Johnson leading the cast, it's a big-name pairing for a story that centres on the tension between them.
