Secret Cinema Club

Secret Cinema Club is taking over Unit 13 on Tuesday 27 October, and as the name suggests, the main attraction is a bit of a gamble. It's a Halloween-themed movie night where the title of the film stays under wraps until the screening actually begins. The only thing they'll tell you beforehand is that it's a horror classic, so you're going in blind.

They've set the whole thing up in 'The Secret Garden' at Unit 13, which is at 17 3/4 Trinity Walk in the city centre. The scene is built around twinkling lights and shadowy greenery, and they've added Halloween-themed cocktails, eerie decorations and a fair few spooky surprises to lean into the date. It's an outdoor setup, but they've kept it relaxed with covered seating and outdoor heaters if the weather turns, so you won't be freezing your way through a jump scare.

The night is put on by Trent Events, and since the film is a secret, the draw is as much about the atmosphere as the movie itself. You settle in under the lights, grab a drink, and wait for the title to be revealed once the screening starts. If you're into the theatre of it all, that's the part that works.

It kicks off at 19:00 on Tuesday 27 October at Unit 13, Nottingham Secret Garden, 17 3/4 Trinity Walk, NG1 2AN. Tickets start from £7.00 and are booked through Fixr.
