The world's largest vegan camping festival, with music, talks, yoga, comedy, family activities and camping in Sherwood Forest.
Vegan Camp Out returns to Walesby Forest Adventure Activity Centre on Friday 13 August 2027, running through to Monday 16 August. It's a long weekend of camping and plant-based living in the middle of Sherwood Forest, and it's grown into something of a global gathering. The festival started back in March 2016 as a small vegan camping music festival — the first edition drew just over 400 people, with a single food vendor and an outdoor DJ. Since then it's scaled up: 11,750 attendees in 2021, over 13,000 in 2023, and around 12,000 in 2024. It now bills itself as the world's largest vegan camping festival, drawing a vegan and vegan-curious crowd from more than 40 countries every year.
The site is run by the Walesby Forest Adventure Activity Centre, which sits across 250 acres of Sherwood Forest. Music is a big part of it, but there's an activist and community focus that runs through the whole weekend. You'll find talks, yoga and meditation, comedy, karaoke and skateboarding, alongside family activities like games, arts and crafts, face painting and bouncy castles. It's an all-ages site with a dedicated family camping field, so it works as much for a group of friends as it does for a family with young kids.
Camping is included with your weekend pass, though glamping and pre-pitched camping are sold separately as add-ons if you'd rather not pitch your own. There's also a VIP add-on for those aged 16 and over. The festival kicks off at 11:00 on Friday 13 August and runs until Monday 16 August.
