Conversation with artists and industry people on inclusive music making for learning disabled, autistic and neurodivergent musicians, part of Hockley Hustle 2026.
Unanima are hosting a conversation at By Our Hands We Make Our Way on Sunday 25 October, from 14:30 to 18:10. The afternoon is built around No Wrong Notes: The Lore of Inclusive Music Making, a talk with artists and industry people about how to better serve learning disabled, autistic and neurodivergent music makers.
Unanima is an artist development organisation that demands change: it believes learning disabled and autistic people should be visible, valued and influential in cultural life. Beyond the stage it runs, the organisation also holds a community woodworking studio in Sneinton Market, offering carving classes, therapeutic sessions and art projects. They describe it as a family-run space where people can feel sheltered and inspired.
