Bill Kenwright Ltd presents the acclaimed West End production of the classic courtroom drama Twelve Angry Men, directed by Christopher Haydon.
Twelve Angry Men comes to Nottingham Playhouse from Tuesday 23 to Saturday 27 February 2027, as part of a national tour. It's the courtroom thriller by Reginald Rose, brought to the stage by Bill Kenwright Ltd and directed by Christopher Haydon, with Tim Welton as associate director and designs by Michael Pavelka.
If you're not familiar with the story, it's a chamber piece that takes place almost entirely within a jury room. Twelve men are locked in to decide the fate of a young man on trial for murder, and the whole thing hinges on their deliberations. It's an adaptation of the 1957 film, which earned three Academy Award nominations, and this production follows record-breaking seasons in the West End, where critics called it 'the classiest, most intelligent drama playing in the West End'.
The cast is a full jury: Gray O'Brien as Juror 8, Bill Ward as Juror 3, Ricky Norwood as Juror 7, Tristan Gemmill as Juror 10, Ben Nealon as Juror 12, Paul Beech as Juror 9, Jeffrey Harmer as Juror 6, Mark Heenehan as Juror 4, Kenneth Jay as Juror 11, Tim Maxwell-Clarke as Juror 2, Owen Oldroyd as the Foreman, and Micquel Pereira as Juror 5. Graham Ellwell plays the Guard. With twelve distinct roles on stage at once, the drama comes from the arguments and shifts in opinion as the jurors clash over the evidence.
