Free drop-in session on gambling harm and its impact on mental health, finances and wellbeing, for Rushcliffe residents aged 18 and over.
TimeOut Recovery is holding a drop-in session at the West Bridgford Young People Centre on Monday 2 November, starting at 11:30. It runs as part of the West Bridgford Social Prescribing Community Hub, so it's one of several health and wellbeing services based there.
TimeOut is Nottingham's specialist gambling harm support service, and this is an informal one-to-one session for anyone worried about their own gambling or concerned about someone else's. It's not a group thing, so you'll be speaking with someone on your own rather than in front of a room. The conversation covers how gambling can affect mental health, finances, relationships and overall wellbeing, the signs of gambling-related harm, and what support is available.
The service notes that gambling can be difficult to recognise or talk about, and they use these sessions to signpost people to the right support services. If you've been wondering whether things have gone a bit too far, or if you're worried about a friend or family member and aren't sure how to bring it up, this is a low-pressure way to get some clarity.

There are a few practical things to keep in mind before you head over. The session is exclusively for Rushcliffe residents aged 18 and over who are registered with a Rushcliffe GP, and only one booking per person is allowed. It's free to attend, and you'll find it at the West Bridgford Young People Centre on Bridgford Road, West Bridgford, Nottingham, NG2 6AT. It kicks off at 11:30 on Monday 2 November.
