Low-impact Pilates session for Rushcliffe residents aged 18 and over, run by the West Bridgford Social Prescribing Community Hub.
Let's Recharge: Pilates runs at the West Bridgford Young People Centre on Monday 2 November, from 12:30 to 1:30 pm. It's a one-hour session led by Jackie from Tuyo Pilates, and it's part of the West Bridgford Social Prescribing Community Hub, which sits inside the wider Rushcliffe Social Prescribing Hub. The hub brings together health and wellbeing activities with information on social connections, so this is one of several things they run rather than a standalone class.
As for the session itself, it's a calming, low-impact class built around slow, precise movements that lengthen and stretch the muscles, build abdominal strength, improve posture and enhance balance, with breath control used throughout. Jackie makes it suitable for a wide range of abilities, so you don't need to be a regular to get something out of it. It's the kind of thing that's more about how you feel leaving than any particular goal you're working towards.
