Film directed by Aaron Sorkin, starring Jeremy Allen White, Betty Gilpin and Mikey Madison, following The Facebook Files.
The Social Reckoning opens at Broadway Cinema on Friday 16 October, running through to Thursday 22 October. It's an Aaron Sorkin drama based on real events: it follows the whistleblowing behind The Facebook Files, the Wall Street Journal exposé that broke open the inner workings of Facebook. The story centres on a Facebook engineer who works with reporter Jeff Horwitz to uncover dangerous truths hidden in the website's code.
It's a Sorkin script, so you can expect the fast-paced, dialogue-heavy style he's known for, and the cast is a strong one. Mikey Madison takes the lead, and this is her first role since her Oscar-winning performance in Anora. She's joined by Jeremy Allen White and Betty Gilpin, both of whom have been having a proper run of it lately. The film runs 112 minutes and carries a 15 certificate.
It's also part of the Mayhem 2026 film festival, so it's one of several titles coming to Broadway as part of that season. If you're not already familiar, Broadway is Nottingham's independent four-screen cinema in Hockley, and it's a registered charity. They run new releases alongside world cinema, Q&As, relaxed and captioned screenings, and film courses, and they host seasons like the UK Jewish Film Festival, Horror Noire and the BFI London Film Festival.
