Interactive screening of the live-action film 'Street Fighter', with the audience playing the classic fighting game on the cinema screen before the film.
Street Fighter is coming to the Savoy Cinema on Friday 23 October, and it's not just a screening. The night is built around an interactive format: before the film rolls, the audience gets to play the classic fighting game on the cinema screen, with the gameplay opening the evening and the feature following. If you're a fan of the game, it's a chance to see it blown up to cinema proportions before the movie takes over.
The film itself follows estranged street fighters Ryu and Ken Masters, drawn back into competition when the enigmatic Chun-Li recruits them for the World Warrior Tournament, a brutal clash of fists, fate and fury. Behind the battle royale lies a deadly conspiracy that forces the two to face off against each other and the demons of their past. It runs 120 minutes and carries a BBFC 12A rating.
There's a warning to keep in mind: the film contains flickering or flashing lights that may affect those with photosensitive epilepsy. If that's a concern, it's worth knowing before you book.
