Spooky Story Time

Waterstones is hosting a spooky story time for little ones on Sunday 25 October, in the children's section of their shop on Bridlesmith Gate. It's a free session, so it's a low-cost Halloween treat for families with young children.

The reading is handled by the Waterstones staff, who'll be reading Willa's Monster Muddle by Fabi Santiago. It's a picture book, so it's aimed at the younger end of the children's section — the kind of thing you can bring a toddler or a preschooler along to. Once the story is finished, there's an invitation to wander around the shop, which is a handy way to stretch your legs and browse the shelves after the reading.

It's held in the children's section of the Bridlesmith Gate branch, so you'll find it tucked away from the main bustle of the shop. The session runs from 14:00 to 15:00, an hour in the middle of a Sunday afternoon, which fits well if you're out and about in the city with the kids. And since it's free, it's a simple thing to drop into without much planning.

So, if you're looking for a bit of Halloween-themed reading for the little ones, head to Waterstones on Bridlesmith Gate, 1/5 Bridlesmith Gate, Nottingham, NG1 2GR, on Sunday 25 October. The story time is in the children's section from 14:00 to 15:00, and it's free.
