Writing session run by Nottingham Writer's Studio where members and non-members can write in silence, discuss ideas or co-write in a room at Nottingham Central Library.
Space to Write is back at Nottingham Central Library on Saturday 24 October, starting at 11:00. It's a writing session run by Nottingham Writer's Studio (NWS), and the whole thing is built around the simple idea of getting a group of writers into one room so they can work together. The studio gets a room at the library for two hours on a Saturday morning, which gives you a dedicated window of focused writing time in a relaxed setting.
What happens inside is largely up to you. You can spend the full two hours writing in silence, just you and your project, or you can use the time to talk through ideas with other writers. There's also the option to pair up for collaborative co-writing sessions if you're in the mood to work on something with someone else. It's a collaborative environment, so you can switch between working solo and chatting with the people around you as the morning goes on.
The session is run by Nottingham Writer's Studio, and while it's their members who get the room, it's not just for them — the space is open to non-members too, for a nominal fee. So whether you're part of the studio or just someone with a half-finished draft you've been meaning to get back to, you can still come along and get some words down.
