Read'n'Discover Book Club

Read'n'Discover Book Club meets at Nottingham Central Library on Wednesday 28 October, with the session starting at 11:00. It's a morning slot, so it's one of those things you can fit in before the rest of the day gets away from you.

If you've never been, the format is pretty straightforward: a group of people getting together to talk about a book. There's no formal lecture or structured presentation here; the whole thing is built around the conversation that happens when a few readers sit down and start picking a story apart. You'll find people coming from different corners of the city, each bringing their own take on the same text, and the discussion tends to wander wherever the group takes it.

Because it's held at the library, it's right in the heart of Nottingham, easy to get to on foot or by bus. It's a public space, so it's open to anyone who fancies a chat about reading, whether you're a lifelong bookworm or someone who only manages a few titles a year. There's no pressure to have the 'right' opinion or to have analysed every single page — it's more about sharing what you liked, what didn't work for you, and where the story left you.

It's a free session, so you can just turn up and join in. The meeting is on Wednesday 28 October at 11:00 at Nottingham Central Library, and since it's free, there's nothing to book in advance.
