Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom

Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom is playing at Broadway Cinema in Hockley, with screenings running from Sunday 25 October through to Thursday 29 October. It's a U-rated film and runs for 80 minutes, so it's a straightforward one to fit in around a school run or a weekend afternoon.

The story starts on Halloween Eve at Mossy Bottom Farm, where excitement turns to dismay when the clumsy Farmer ruins the pumpkin patch. Shaun takes matters into his own hands and turns himself into a mad scientist to fix it with a series of experiments, but things go wrong when a wild beast begins roaming the woods of Mossingham. It's classic Shaun: a simple mistake spiralling into something much bigger than it ever needed to be.

Broadway is Nottingham's independent four-screen cinema, a registered charity based in Hockley that puts on new releases alongside world cinema, Q&As, relaxed and captioned screenings, and runs a café bar, film courses and venue hire. This is one of those family-friendly slots they do, and since it's rated U, it's as safe a bet as you'll find for a trip with the kids.

There are five screenings to choose from: Sunday 25 October at 15:15, Monday 26 October at 13:15, Tuesday 27 October at 14:00, Wednesday 28 October at 14:00, and Thursday 29 October at 13:30. Tickets are £7 for members and under-18s, £9 for students, £10 for 18-25s, £12 or £13 for full price, £10 or £11 for seniors over 60, and £8 for concessions. You'll find the cinema at 14-18 Broad Street, Hockley, NG1 3AL.
