Multimedia tribute show that retells the film Beetlejuice through the songs of The Beatles, presented by Rob Kemp as part of the Notts Comedy Festival.
Rob Kemp brings Beatlesjuice to The Canalhouse on Thursday 5 November, as part of the Notts Comedy Festival. It's a multimedia tribute concert that retells the cult 80s comedy horror Beetlejuice using the songs of The Beatles, and Kemp is the one behind it.
If you're not familiar with the setup, it plays as a double tribute: one to 'The Ghost with the Most' and another to the Fab Four. The story of the film is told through their songs, and the audience is invited to get involved throughout, so it's more of a participatory night than a sit-back-and-watch one. Kemp also created The Elvis Dead, which follows a similar vein of mixing a cult movie with a musical legacy.
The show is presented by NCF Comedy as part of the Notts Comedy Festival, and it's recommended for ages 12 and over. It runs for around an hour, so it's a relatively tight evening rather than a full-night affair.
