Debut solo stand-up show 'Hungry!' by online sensation Charlie Lewis, presented by NCF Comedy as part of the Nottingham Comedy Festival.
Charlie Lewis brings his debut solo comedy show, HUNGRY!, to Canalhouse on Tuesday 3 November, as part of the Nottingham Comedy Festival. It's presented by NCF Comedy, and it's Lewis's first full hour on his own.
If you've come across him online, you've probably seen the numbers first: more than 50 million views across social media. He's built that following on quick-fire gags and witty anecdotes, and he's spent the last few years taking that work onto stages up and down the country. HUNGRY! is the result of that transition, the first time he's stepped out from the short-form clips and into a full solo show. The BBC called it "absolutely brilliant!", and it's being billed as the work of a rising star on the comedy circuit.
The venue is Canalhouse, 48-52 Canal Street, NG1 7EH. It opened in 2000 on the lower floors of the city's former canal museum, and it's famous for having a stretch of canal that runs right into the building, resident narrow boats and all. It's a good spot for a mid-week night out, and since it's part of the Nottingham Comedy Festival, there's plenty more going on around the city that week if you're making a proper evening of it.
