Lou Lou's, the UK's beloved vintage market, returns to Nottingham with independent traders selling fashion, jewellery and accessories from the 1920s to the 1980s.
Lou Lou's Vintage Market returns to Nottingham on Saturday 28 November, taking over St Mary's Church on High Pavement. It's part of the Indie Markets collection, which they bill as the UK's most beloved vintage market, and it brings together independent traders from across the country under one roof for the day.
What you'll find inside is a wide range of hand-picked, collectable and one-of-a-kind fashion, jewellery and accessories, with pieces dating from the 1920s right through to the 1980s. That's a long stretch of decades to dig through, so whether you're after something from the interwar years or a piece of 80s nostalgia, you're likely to find it here. The organisers frame the whole thing as a destination for sustainable shopping and for supporting small businesses, which is a nice way to think about it if you're looking to buy something with a bit of history rather than something off a high street rack.
There's more to it than just shopping, too. If you've got a collection of your own, the organisers offer the chance to trade, and they also look for people to work as stewards and promotional staff on the day. So if you're more of a seller than a buyer, or just want to see how it works from the inside, there's a way to get involved beyond just browsing the stalls.
