LTA national circuit tennis tournament for 9-year-olds at the Lexus Nottingham Tennis Centre.
Lexus Nottingham Tennis Centre hosts the Lexus National Tour - 9U - Grade 2 - Rotation 2 (North) Boys & Girls on Saturday 12 December, an indoor hard court event for nine-year-olds. It's part of the Lexus National Tour, the LTA's national circuit for young performance tennis players aged eight to ten, across the 9U and 10U age groups. The tour is described as the highest level of challenge within the 10U Performance Competition Calendar, and it runs throughout the year, with a Winter Regional Tour from September to March that feeds winners into selected National Tour events.
Across the circuit, there are Grade 3, 2 and 1 tournaments played on multiple surfaces, and 10U National Pathway Coaches are on hand to observe players and present performance awards. Those awards were introduced in 2023 and recognise behaviours beyond winning, with the aim of avoiding burnout and encouraging adventurous play. The tour sits alongside the Junior National League, one of the biggest team tennis competitions in Britain, and the Lexus Junior National Championships, a highlight of the season.
