Interactive workshop for 7-9 year olds with bestselling children's author Harriet Muncaster, pairing a reading of her work with creative draw-alongs.
Harriet Muncaster is coming to Waterstones in Nottingham on Tuesday 27 October for an interactive workshop. It's aimed at 7-9 year olds, and the session pairs a lively reading with creative draw-alongs, so the kids get to draw while she reads aloud. She'll also be talking about the inspiration behind her characters and stories, giving a bit of a look behind the curtain at how she puts them together.
If the name doesn't ring a bell, you'll likely know the books. Muncaster is the author of the Isadora Moon series, which has sold over four million copies worldwide in 37 languages since it first came out in 2016. Beyond that, she's written the Mirabelle and Emerald series, both set in the same world, and the Victoria Stitch series for readers aged 9 and over. She studied Illustration at Norwich University College of Art and did a master's at Anglia Ruskin University, so the drawing side of the workshop is right up her alley.
