Halloween ghost-hunting tours with craft activities and spooky games for children aged 5 to 11 at the haunted National Justice Museum.
The National Justice Museum is running its Kids' Ghost Hunter Tours from Thursday 22 to Friday 30 October, with sessions at 4:30pm and 5pm. It's a half-term thing, so there are plenty of dates to pick from across those nine days, though you'll want to book early — the 5pm slots on the 22nd and 30th are already gone.
The premise is simple: around Halloween, the museum becomes a hive of paranormal activity, and the kids are recruited to help the overworked Ghost Hunter catch the pesky ghosts causing mayhem throughout the building. It's not just the tour, either — there are craft activities and spooky games mixed in, and the whole thing lasts about an hour. They recommend it for children aged 5 to 11, so it's aimed at the younger end of the half-term crowd.
If you've never been, the museum itself is a Grade II* listed building with a macabre history that spans centuries of imprisonment and execution. It's spread over five floors, and you'll find a Victorian courtroom, a Georgian gaol, and ancient cells. Along the way, you'll meet costumed characters from Nottingham's past, and it's been voted one of the most haunted buildings in the UK — which, given the theme, is exactly why it works for this.

Tickets are £8.95 for a child and £7.95 for an adult, and all children have to be accompanied by a paying adult. With sessions at 4:30pm and 5pm, it's a late-afternoon outing that fits into the half-term run.
