Outdoor cinema with classic Halloween films under the stars, with fancy dress and a spooky soundtrack.
Adventure Cinema is bringing three nights of Halloween films to the giant outdoor screen at Wollaton Hall & Deer Park from Friday 23 to Sunday 25 October. It's an Elizabethan mansion and deer park on the outskirts of Nottingham, and the cinema takes over the grounds for the weekend. Fancy dress is highly encouraged, and a spooky soundtrack plays before the movie, with songs curated for witches, ghouls, ghosts, vampires, werewolves and humans alike.
The films change each night, so you can pick one or do the whole run. Friday 23 October is Scream (18), Saturday 24 October is Hocus Pocus (PG), and Sunday 25 October is The Nightmare Before Christmas (PG). That's a slashy start for the adults, followed by two family-friendly classics for the weekend.
There's hot food, snacks and a bar on-site, and you're welcome to bring your own picnics and drinks, though no glass. There's no seating provided unless you've got a premium ticket, so bring your own blankets and camping chairs. Under-16s need to be accompanied by an adult, and the event goes ahead even if it rains.
