Revised ghost tour of the National Justice Museum, retracing the steps of those imprisoned and executed in its ancient gaol.
Ghosts of the Gaol returns to The National Justice Museum on Saturday 14 and 21 November, the museum's revised ghost tour for 2026. The building has been voted one of the most haunted in the UK, and this is the tour they've put together to lean into that reputation. You retrace the steps of the people imprisoned and executed within the museum's macabre history, picking up eerie tales from staff and visitors and the many paranormal experiences reported inside. It's a timed experience, so you need to arrive ten minutes before your slot; latecomers aren't admitted. It's for ages 14 and over only, and under-18s must be accompanied by an adult.
There are two slots each night, at 6pm and 7pm, and the tour lasts around 50 minutes. Tickets are £16 full price and £15 for concessions. If you're coming with a group of more than ten, private tours can be arranged through the museum's hospitality team. On the night, there's an arrival drink available for £5.00 to £4.00 — wine, beer, cider or a soft drink to have before you head in. Just a heads-up on the dates: the 6pm slot on 14 November is already sold out, and the 7pm slot that night has limited availability, so if that's the one you're after, you'll want to book sooner rather than later. Tickets are non-refundable, so double-check your dates before you commit. The museum is on High Pavement, Nottingham, NG1 1HN.
