Six-piece Dire Straits tribute band DS:UK brings its seventh outing, The Alchemical Tour, to Nottingham Arts Theatre.
DS:UK bring their Dire Straits tribute to Nottingham Arts Theatre on Sunday 21 February 2027, as part of The Alchemical Tour. It's their seventh outing and their most ambitious one yet, and it takes the set back to the Alchemy period — recorded at the end of the 1983 Love Over Gold tour, a stretch widely regarded as Dire Straits' live peak.
That's the core of the night: they play Love Over Gold in its entirety, with the early albums filling out the rest of the set. There's also a special track tucked in that only the most dedicated fans will spot. It's a specific focus rather than a best-of, so you'll hear the record run through from start to finish.
DS:UK, formerly Dire Straits:UK, formed in Southampton in 2015. They're a six-piece of self-described fans — David Knight, Jade Gall, Alistair Begg, Alec Heald, Joe Boult and Kingsley Sage — and they build the show on musicianship and attention to detail. There are more than 500 audience reviews on their Facebook page.

This isn't their only way of doing things, either. They run other themed tours, like Brothers in 85, which recreates the Brothers in Arms world tour, and ON anoTHEr NIGHT, which works through the catalogue up until Mark Knopfler left to focus on his solo career. The Alchemical Tour is the one coming to Nottingham this time, so the focus stays on that early-eighties era.
It starts at 7:30pm at Nottingham Arts Theatre, and tickets are £26.
