Stand-up show by Chloe Petts at The Canalhouse, part of the Notts Comedy Festival.
Chloe Petts is playing a work-in-progress set at The Canalhouse on Sunday 1 November, part of the Notts Comedy Festival. It's a single-name bill, so she's the only act on the night.
If you haven't come across her yet, Petts is one of those comics who's been picking up a fair bit of momentum. Brian Logan of The Guardian has called her one of the most compelling young comics working, and Bruce Dessau of The Evening Standard described her as clearly a rising star. She's appeared on Have I Got News For You, Live at the Apollo, and Off Menu, and she's an upcoming contestant on Taskmaster, so she's well within the orbit of the big TV shows. This being a work-in-progress means you'll be hearing new material as it's being built, rather than a polished, tour-ready hour.
The night is presented by NCF Comedy as part of the Notts Comedy Festival, and the venue is The Canalhouse at 48-52 Canal Street, NG1 7EH. It opened in 2000 on the lower floors of the former Canal museum, and it's famous for having a canal that extends right into the building, complete with resident narrow boats. It's a good spot for a Sunday evening, especially if you're already in the city centre.
