Multi-sensory theatre show for babies and toddlers combining live music, storytelling and an immersive art installation within the Young Hustlers Festival.
Young Hustlers is back for its ninth year on Sunday 25 October, with the festival taking over Hockley and Sneinton Market from 11am to 5pm. This year's theme is Mash it Up, a celebration of cultural fusion and identity that mashes together musical genres, art forms and creative traditions. It's a Nottingham-based music and arts festival for children aged 0 to 16, and over nearly a decade it's grown into a family tradition here, bringing together music, making, raving, DJing, baking, play, puppets, performance, poetry, dancing and singing.
One of the main features this time is A Message for the Future, a multi-sensory theatre show for babies and toddlers that combines live music, storytelling and an immersive art installation. It's held indoors at Surface Gallery, one of the partners involved this year alongside Montana, Megan Crooks Textiles and Fisher Gate Point. If you're bringing the little ones, there are also circus skills classes running throughout the day: a Toddler & Parent Aerial Class for 2-4 year olds, a Youth Aerial Class for 7-16 year olds, and a Baby & Parent Aerial Class for the 0-2s.

One of the best things about how it works is the wristband: one gets you into everything on the day, so you can drift between the installation, the classes and whatever else is happening without having to book every single bit separately. Just keep in mind that adult tickets need to be bought alongside child tickets. It runs from 11am to 5pm at Hockley and Sneinton Market, with A Message for the Future inside Surface Gallery.
