Five-piece classic rock and pop covers band TLFI plays a two-hour set of hits from the 1960s to the present day.
TLFI play Broadside Chalet Park on Saturday 14 November, a two-hour set of classic rock and pop covers. The name is short for Too Loud For Ivor, and they're a five-piece band fronted by a female vocalist.
What they do is pretty straightforward: they work their way through the decades, starting in the 1960s and running right up to the present day. The set leans on a repertoire that ranges from CCR and Fleetwood Mac to Paul Weller and Dolly Parton, so you'll hear a fair bit of ground covered in one night. It's a broad mix of classic rock and pop, and with a female vocalist leading the way, they can pull from a wide range of voices across those years.
They're a five-piece, which gives them enough room to handle the different styles they pull from. The set runs for around two hours, and they describe it as working its way from the 1960s right up to the present day, with CCR, Fleetwood Mac, Paul Weller and Dolly Parton as some of the names they draw on. It's a covers show, so the focus is on the songs rather than new material.
