Screening of short films from the Norwich Film Festival's official selection, curated by the festival's programmers into the 'The Mix Tape' strand.
The Mix Tape Vol. 2 is at Cinema City on Saturday 14 November, part of the Norwich Film Festival. It's a session of short films drawn from the festival's official selection, and this particular volume brings together five titles: Amaretti, Did You Twirl?, Kim: The long way home, Printed in Gray and RAINY DAY.
The Mix Tape strands are hand-curated by the festival's programmers, who pull from the wider official selection to build collections linked by genre, theme or perspective. They run alongside other themed strands like Comedy, Sci-Fi, Documentary, Animation, LGBTQ+, Women in Film, East Anglian talent and Family Friendly films, so if you're not sure where to start, these curated sets are a good way to see a few different things in one go. Many of the screenings are followed by filmmaker Q&As, and the festival offers short film screening bundles if you're planning on catching more than one session.
New for 2026 is the East Anglian Student Showcase, which puts short films by student talent from educational organisations across the region on screen. It's a nice addition to the mix, alongside the wider selection that makes up the festival.

Practical bits: it starts at 13:00 at Cinema City on Saint Andrews Street, NR2 4AD. Tickets are £8, or £6 for concessions. Seating is unallocated, and there are limited wheelchair spaces available. There are no adverts or trailers before the screening, so it's just the films from the start.
