The Future Radio Pub Quiz

The Future Radio Pub Quiz runs every Wednesday night at The Fat Cat and Canary, 101 Thorpe Road, NR1 1TR. It's hosted by one of the DJs from Future Radio, the local station that broadcasts to 380,000 people across Greater Norwich, so you'll have a proper radio voice on the mic for the evening. There's no booking needed — you just turn up on the night.

Outside the pub, Tiago's pizza van serves wood-fired pizzas, so you can sort your dinner before the quiz kicks off. Every pound raised goes to Future Projects, the station's parent charity, which works to tackle poverty, deprivation and disadvantage across Norfolk and Norwich. It's a straightforward way to put a bit of money toward a local cause while having a night out.

The quiz starts at 8pm, though there's one thing to keep in mind: it doesn't run when Norwich City play at home, so it's worth checking the fixture list if you're planning a particular Wednesday. If the Canaries are playing, the quiz takes a night off. Otherwise, it's a regular fixture on the mid-week calendar.
