Stand-up show by Romesh Ranganathan, billed as 'scientifically proven to improve your self-esteem', at the Norwich Theatre Royal.
Romesh Ranganathan is back at Norwich Theatre Royal on Sunday 17 January 2027 with his brand-new tour show, Romesh Ranganathan Will Change Your Life. It's a stand-up set that runs about two hours, recommended for ages 14 and up.
The title is a bit of a wind-up. He bills the show as 'scientifically proven to improve your self-esteem' and 'guaranteed to CHANGE YOUR LIFE', but the press notes include the sort of tongue-in-cheek disclaimers you'd expect from him: the 'scientific' claim is based on a sample of three people who live with him, and he admits it isn't actually guaranteed to change your life. If you've seen him before, that's the sort of thing you're signing up for.
It's been a long run since he first burst onto the circuit in 2010. That first year he hit the Latitude New Act Final, the So You Think You're Funny? Final, and came runner-up in The Amused Moose Laugh Off. In 2015 he starred in the BBC Three show Asian Provocateur, where he travelled to Sri Lanka to learn about his parents' country, and a second series, Mum's American Dream, followed in 2016. Critics have called him 'extraordinarily hilarious' and noted his 'bitingly fresh gags', and Ents24 named him one of the five hardest-working comedians of 2016.
