One-woman play written and performed by Jemima Foxtrot, directed by Emily Brown, that uses corporate satire to explore sex work, labour and power.
Jemima Foxtrot brings her one-woman play Pleasure Incorporated to Norwich Arts Centre on Sunday 7 March 2027, starting at 7:30 PM. It's a lyrical, funny, and surreal piece set inside the cubicles and corridors of an imagined corporation, and it's directed by Emily Brown.
The whole thing is built around the language of HR policies, performance reviews, and workplace rituals, and it uses that corporate frame to look at labour, autonomy, and survival in a hostile world. Foxtrot wrote and performs it herself, and it draws on her lived experience of escorting in Berlin. She uses corporate satire to examine how bodies, labour, and power are managed, regulated, and sold, and the performance blends live acting with video art and an original soundtrack.
It's not a brand-new thing: the show was first developed in Berlin in 2023/24, and audiences there described it as unexpectedly funny, disarming, and human. Foxtrot has toured internationally and written for the BBC, Tate Modern, Britain, and Channel 4.
