Guided storytelling walk through haunted alleyways and forgotten courtyards of Norwich, with tales of spirits and macabre secrets.
Norwich Story Walks are running their Norwich Spooky Story Walk across several dates from 23 October to 1 November 2026, with the tours meeting at City Hall (between the lions), NR2 1NH. It's one of their theatrical walking tours, and it runs for an hour and a half.
If you've never come across them, Norwich Story Walks is a small, independent local business that brings the city's past to life by mixing humour, charm and captivating tales. This particular walk is led by a master storyteller who takes you through Norwich's darkest corners, from haunted alleyways to forgotten courtyards, where the boundary between the living and the dead blurs under the atmospheric glow of the streetlights. Along the way, the guide uncovers stories of restless spirits, chilling apparitions and the macabre secrets said to lurk beneath the cobblestones, as well as the cursed souls that have left their mark on the city.
It's not their only tour running around this time of year, either. They also do The Norwich Weird & Wonderful Story Walk, which gathers the city's unusual characters and tucked-away treasures, and Norwich Her Story Walk, which celebrates the remarkable women who shaped the city. If you're in the mood for something a bit more offbeat than the spooky stuff, those are worth keeping in mind too.

On the practical side, the tours run rain or shine, so you'll want to dress for the weather. Dogs on leads are welcome, and the route is wheelchair accessible. Tickets are £10.00 for all dates, and the walk lasts an hour and a half.
