Fair of professional booksellers with secondhand, antiquarian and collectible books, prints and manuscripts, part of the Norwich Book Festival.
The Norwich PBFA Book Fair is at The Forum on Friday 30 October, one of the many events that make up this year's Norwich Book Festival. It's presented by the Provincial Booksellers Fair Association, and the whole thing is supported by T.W. Gaze.
The fair brings together professional booksellers from across the country, all under one roof at The Forum. They'll be selling secondhand, antiquarian and collectible books, as well as prints and manuscripts. It's not just a general sale, either; there are specialists in specific areas, so you can find people who focus on children's books, literature, manuscripts, East Anglian history and topography, antiquarian books and modern first editions. If you've got a particular interest, there's likely a dealer there who knows it inside out.
Past fairs have also featured guest exhibitors with artworks and book-trade materials like bookbinding, so it's as much about the physical object as the writing. It's the kind of place where you can spend a few hours just browsing through the stalls, chatting with the booksellers, and seeing what turns up. Whether you're after a specific first edition, a piece of local history, or just something that catches your eye, it's all there in one go.
