Free literary fair with more than 30 stalls of publishers, writers, zinemakers and artists from Norfolk and the UK, part of Norwich Book Festival.
The Norwich Independent Book & Zine Fair takes over The Atrium at The Forum on Saturday 24 October, from 9am to 5pm. It's hosted by Salò Press and brings together more than 30 stalls of publishers, writers, zinemakers and artists from across Norfolk and the rest of the UK, all selling literary-inspired books, zines, art and gifts. If you're into the smaller, independent side of publishing, it's a good place to spend a morning or afternoon browsing through things you won't find on a high street shelf.
The fair is part of the Norwich Book Festival, which is a free, open-to-the-public programme for all ages that looks at creativity, stories, writing and books. The bulk of the festival's action is in The Forum's Atrium, with workshop-style activities running in The Gallery space. It's a big draw for the city's literary crowd — the 2025 edition brought in over 30,000 visitors.
Because the fair is hosted by Salò Press, the focus is on the local literary community. You'll find a mix of Norfolk-based makers and visitors from further afield, so it's a fair way to see what's being written and printed around the county. The stalls aren't just books, either — zines, art and literary gifts sit alongside them, so there's a fair bit to look at even if you're not hunting for a specific title.
