Improvised comedy murder mystery by Degrees of Error, in which the cast builds a whodunnit on the spot using audience suggestions.
Degrees of Error are bringing Murder, She Didn't Write to Norwich Theatre Royal on Thursday 7 January, their first Norwich date since their previous runs. It's an improvised comedy murder mystery, and as the title suggests, it's a nod to the whodunnits of Agatha Christie. The cast builds the whole thing on the spot using suggestions from the audience, so the plot, the characters and the culprit are all made up as they go. Because of that, no two performances are the same — the audience effectively becomes the author, and the only one in the room who can solve it.
Degrees of Error are Edinburgh Fringe favourites, and this show is returning to the stage after several sell-out runs. It's earned a fair bit of critical praise along the way, with reviewers calling it 'hilarious', 'incredibly clever' and 'by far the best improvised show' they've ever seen. The performance runs for about two hours with an interval, so it's a full evening rather than a short set. It's recommended for ages 12 and over, with some strong language and sexual references to keep in mind. There's also a BSL-interpreted performance available.
