Fringe First winner Luke Wright combines poetry and stand-up in 'Yes.', about changing your mind without losing your convictions.
Luke Wright brings his new show Yes. to Norwich Theatre Royal on Thursday 15 April 2027. It's part poetry, part stand-up, and it asks a question that feels a bit too close to home these days: how do you change your mind without losing your convictions, and how do you stay open in a world that seems to be digging in its heels?
Wright's been writing poems that wrestle with the world around him for twenty-five years, and Yes. is the latest result. It's a Fringe First winner, and the reviews have been kind. The Stage called it "honesty, humour, ire and wonder", The List said "his poems shoot arrows through the heart", The Scotsman noted "a sharpness and wisdom that lifts the soul", and The Guardian highlighted its "witty observation and rollicking acuity".
If you're planning to go, there's a bit of a ticket dance to keep track of. They're released in bands: 26 October at 10 am for Ambassadors, Supporters, Gold Friends and Corporates; 28 October at 10 am for Friends and Best Friends; and 30 October at 10 am for the general public.
