Norwich metal band Collapse The Sky returns to Voodoo Daddy's for their traditional Halloween show and the launch of their new EP 'Welcome | Death', with Karybdis and Skinchanger.
Collapse The Sky are back at Voodoo Daddy's on Wednesday 28 October, and it's a double one: they're returning for their traditional Halloween show and the launch of their new EP, Welcome | Death. The Norwich metal band has built a bit of a reputation around this annual Halloween date, so this is the one to keep on your radar if you've followed them for a while.
If you're not familiar with them, they describe their sound as a mix of metalcore, orchestration, ethereal synths and ferocious riffing. It's a broad description that covers a lot of ground — the heavy side of metalcore, the cinematic sweep of orchestration, and those atmospheric synths sitting alongside the riffs. They've played Bloodstock and Download Festivals, picked up airplay on BBC Radio 1 and featured in guitar spotlights with ESP guitars, so they're well-versed in playing larger stages. This show brings them back to a local room for the new material.

Welcome | Death is the EP they're launching on the night, and it'll be the focus of the set. They're joined by Karybdis and Skinchanger, who'll both play before them, so there are three bands on the bill. It's a midweek one, and the whole thing runs from 7:00pm to 10:30pm at Voodoo Daddy's, 68a London Street, NR2 1JT. Tickets are £10.
