Northern Ballet's three-act staging of Cinderella, choreographed by Michael Pink to Prokofiev's music played live.
Northern Ballet are bringing Cinderella to Norwich Theatre Royal from Wednesday 18 November, with performances running through to Saturday 21 November. It's a three-act staging of the story, originally choreographed by Michael Pink for Milwaukee Ballet, and it runs for about two hours and ten minutes across the three acts and two intervals.
The production is set to Prokofiev's score, played live, and it builds around the big waltzes, the quieter duets and the more comic characters, all leading up to a romantic finale. It's a feel-good version of the tale, and the company has made a few things available for those who might need them: there's an audio-described performance on the Saturday night and a touch tour that afternoon. One practical thing to keep in mind is that the show uses smoke and mist.
