Live reggae, ska and soul show by Cardiff artist Captain Accident and his backing band The Disasters at The Waterfront.
Captain Accident & The Disasters play The Waterfront on Thursday 29 October, bringing a mix of reggae, ska and soul to the Adrian Flux Waterfront Studio. The night is built around Captain Accident, a Cardiff-based artist who blends lovers rock, roots reggae, ska, dub and rocksteady in his home studio, backed live by the collective known as The Disasters.
He's released three self-produced albums: Pick up the Microphone in 2010, Slippin Up in 2013, and Wake & Break in 2016, the latter of which got a shout from Sir David Rodigan on BBC Radio 1xtra. He's toured widely since then and spent 2016 and 2017 on the road with Toots & the Maytals, even stepping in on guitar for 'Monkey Man' during their UK dates.
He's shared the stage with a fair few names from the scene too — Suggs, Neville Staple, Prince Fatty, Bad Manners, Aswad, The Skints and The Toasters — and played Glastonbury, Secret Garden Party and Boomtown Fair. The Norwich show is 14+, and under-16s need to be accompanied by an adult.
