Folk troubadour Beans on Toast brings his annual winter tour to Norwich Arts Centre, a standing night of songs and stories, with support by Gecko.
Beans on Toast plays the Norwich Arts Centre on Friday 4 December, part of his annual winter tour. He's a folk troubadour who's spent nearly two decades building one of the most loyal audiences in British folk, and the Norwich date is one of the stops on this year's run.
His shows are part concert, part gathering: evenings of songs and stories that cover family, friendships and everyday life, alongside protest songs, drinking songs and songs about nature. It's as much about the talking as the playing, and the set moves between the two throughout the night. Critics have called him 'perhaps the defining voice of a generation' (Louder Than War) and 'the absolute finest chronicler of humankind' (Maximum Volume).
He's not on his own for the whole evening, either. Gecko opens the night, so there's a support act to warm things up before he takes over. The Norwich show is a standing event, and the venue is at 51 St Benedicts Street, NR2 4PG.
