Film critic Ali Plumb brings his big-screen film quiz with video rounds, puzzles and prizes as a finale to Norwich Film Festival 2026.
Ali Plumb brings his Untitled Film Quiz Project to Cinema City on Sunday 15 November, the finale to Norwich Film Festival 2026. Plumb is a film critic, broadcaster and self-described movie obsessive, and this is his quiz brought to the big screen — billed as a very different alternative to a standard pub quiz.
It's built for the cinema rather than the pub, with big-screen video observation rounds, film puzzles, music and prizes. The questions run from Hollywood blockbusters and animation to cult classics and cinematic oddities, with a few specific rounds to keep things interesting: one asks teams to guess the film from a Lego minifigure, and another is a 'Where's Wally?'-style round featuring Paddington. Plumb isn't a stranger to the festival, having hosted the NFF Awards in previous years.
Teams can have up to five people, with unallocated cinema seating and gaps between them. The night is part of Norwich Film Festival, which started in 2009 as a BAFTA- and BIFA-qualifying short film festival that's launched films that went on to win BAFTAs and Oscars, as well as awards at Sundance, Tribeca and South by Southwest.
