Stage tribute to Jeff Lynne and Electric Light Orchestra with a band, a female string section, six singers, a light and laser show and 3D video screens.
The ELO Show plays Sage One at The Glasshouse International Centre for Music on Wednesday 25 November, a tribute to Jeff Lynne and Electric Light Orchestra. It's a full-band production rather than a small ensemble, with a band of musicians, a female string section, and six singers. The set is built around the songs Lynne wrote for ELO, and the list of what they'll be playing covers a good stretch of the catalogue: 'Mr Blue Sky', 'Evil Woman', 'Don't Bring Me Down', 'Telephone Line', 'Sweet Talkin' Woman', 'Turn to Stone', 'Wild West Hero', and 'The Diary of Horace Wimp'.
There's a fair bit more to it than just the music, too. The show includes a light and laser show, 3D video screens, and a huge spaceship on stage. It's billed as the world's greatest tribute to Jeff Lynne and Electric Light Orchestra, and they're back on the road with a new stage production. The band describes it as a tribute to Lynne and ELO, and the setlist pulls from the songs that made the name known.
