Harriet Kemsley: Floozy

Harriet Kemsley brings her new show Floozy to Northern Stage on Wednesday 11 November, part of her 2026 live comedy tour. It's a solo stand-up set, presented by Plosive Live, and it's her only Newcastle date of the run.

If you haven't come across her yet, Kemsley is a multi-award-winning comedian who's been making a name for herself on the circuit. She was a contestant on Last One Laughing UK and co-hosts the comedy podcast Single Ladies In Your Area. The Guardian called her the breakout contestant of the show, and she's built a reputation for infectious energy, self-deprecating humour and punchlines that land exactly where they're supposed to. She's often described as one of the most exciting and distinctive voices in British comedy right now.

Floozy is a brand-new show, and the material is built around a specific question: what happens when things actually start to go right after a life spent in constant chaos? It's that feeling of finally getting your act together and not quite knowing how to handle it. From there, the set ranges from dating to mushrooms and her ongoing mission to embrace that inner chaos rather than fight it. It's the kind of comedy that works because it's rooted in the messy, recognisable parts of being a person, told with the sharp timing she's known for.

It's a mid-week show, so it's a good one to slot into a Wednesday night. The performance is at Northern Stage, Stage 2, Barras Bridge, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 7RH, with tickets from £24.
