The sell-out West End hit comedy Christmas Carol Goes Wrong, by Mischief, tackles A Christmas Carol through the lens of a disastrous amateur production.
Mischief bring Christmas Carol Goes Wrong to the Theatre Royal from Tuesday 23 to Saturday 27 February 2027. It's the latest from the company behind The Play That Goes Wrong, Peter Pan Goes Wrong and The Comedy About a Bank Robbery, and it takes Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol and turns it on its head.
The show follows the Cornley Amateur Drama Society as they attempt to put on the Dickens classic. As the title suggests, things don't exactly go to plan. The Cornley crew battle miscommunication, set delays, actors missing in action and a growing feud over who gets to play the lead. The producers describe it as the worst production in Christmas past, present and yet to come.
It's a short run, so you'll want to pick your slot early. Evenings are at 7.30pm, with matinees on Wednesday and Thursday at 2pm and Saturday at 2.30pm. The running time is 2 hours 20 minutes, including an interval. The show is rated PG, and the final Saturday afternoon performance is an Audio Described and Captioned show with a pre-show Touch Tour.
