Before I Go To Sleep

Giovanna Fletcher stars in the world stage premiere of Before I Go To Sleep at Newcastle Theatre Royal, running from Tuesday 18 to Saturday 22 May 2027. It's a psychological thriller based on the novel by S J Watson, and this is the first time it's been brought to the stage.

Fletcher takes the lead in a story that's been described as a gripping thriller, and the run is short — just five performances over the five days, so there aren't many dates to choose from if you're planning to go. The production is a stage adaptation of Watson's book, which means the story is being translated from the page to the boards for its first outing.

It's a world premiere, so this is the first time the play is being performed on stage anywhere, and it's happening right here in Newcastle. Fletcher is the main name on the bill, and the whole thing is built around her role. If you've read the novel, this is the first chance to see it played out in front of an audience; if you haven't, it's a psychological thriller that starts with a woman who wakes up every morning with no memory of who she is or how she got there.

With only five performances running from Tuesday 18 to Saturday 22 May, it's a tight window. The run is at Newcastle Theatre Royal in Newcastle upon Tyne, and since it's a world premiere, it's the first time the play is being seen on stage anywhere.
