Cruiser Nightclub is taking Halloween out onto the water this year with The Haunted Boat Party, running on Saturday 31 October. It's their 2026 Halloween party on Newcastle Harbour, run by All Event Cruises aboard the MV Calmer, which is a nightclub-style marine venue with a dance floor and limited unreserved seating rather than a seated, table-service setup. The night is built around DJ sets, themed drinks specials and a few eerie surprises along the way.
They're encouraging everyone to turn up in their scariest, creepiest or most wicked costume, so it's a good one to get a proper outfit together for. It's strictly 18+ with valid photo ID required at the door. One practical thing to keep in mind: the boat has steep stairs, so tall or pointy heels aren't allowed — small chunky heels are fine, but you'll want to be careful with what you wear on your feet. Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable, and there's strictly no BYO food or beverages on board.

The boat departs from Queens Wharf Terminal, 242-258 Wharf Road, Newcastle, NSW 2300. Doors open at 6:30 PM and the boat departs sharp at 7:00 PM, so you'll want to be there early rather than cutting it close. The party runs from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and tickets are A$20 for Early Bird, A$29 for Second Release, and A$38 for Third Release.
