The Angels Tribute Show | Beyond Salvation

Beyond Salvation are taking over the MV Calmer on Saturday 24 October for a live tribute to The Angels, one of Australia's most iconic rock bands. It's a harbour cruise, so the whole thing happens on the water rather than in a club, with the band bringing The Angels' sound, raw energy and legendary attitude to the deck. You'll hear the soaring guitar riffs and a run of Australian rock anthems that most of us know by heart.

Three live sets are packed into the afternoon, so there's plenty of music to get through. The main deck has a dance floor for when you want to get up, and there are licensed bars on board, with food available to buy throughout. The setting does a good bit of the heavy lifting: the sky deck and wrap-around balconies open onto Newcastle Harbour as the cruise unfolds, so you can choose between dancing on the main floor or watching from the upper levels.

The MV Calmer is the flagship vessel of All Event Cruises, which they've turned into a floating entertainment venue specialising in themed dining, tribute parties and large celebrations. This one is strictly for over-18s, and you'll need a valid photo ID to get on board. It's also worth knowing that the venue doesn't cater for people with access needs.

It runs from 12:00pm to 4:00pm, with check-in starting from 11:30am, so you've got a bit of a window to get settled before it sets off. Tickets are between A$35.00 and A$59.00, and the boat departs from the Queens Wharf Ferry Terminal on Wharf Road in Newcastle.
