A daytime party cruise on MV Calmer with 90s and 2000s dance music, cocktails and harbour views.
Old School Dayclub on the Harbour is taking over the MV Calmer on Sunday 4 October, a long weekend day party that cruises Newcastle Harbour. The whole thing is built around the dance music of the 90s and 2000s, and they describe it as bringing back the vibe of that era โ the days of Ministry of Sound, Gatecrasher and Clubland โ but on the water.
The party runs across three levels, each with its own music zone: the Old School Dance Floor, the Party Deck and the Sky Deck. All three will be playing the biggest dance anthems of the 90s and 2000s, so you can move between them depending on where you want to be. Live DJs keep it going throughout the afternoon, and there are two licensed bars and food available to buy on board. You'll have panoramic harbour views as the boat makes its way around, and professional event photography is included.
It's an over-18s event, so you'll need a valid photo ID to get in. The dress code is smart casual, with no tall or pointy heels allowed on deck. There's no BYO food or drink, so whatever you want to eat or drink will be bought from the bars and food stalls on board.
