Two nights of Halloween parties at Bernie's Bar, with an Emo Night Halloween Edition on Friday and a Monster Mash Laneway Party on Saturday, plus drag performances.
Bernie's Bar is doing its usual Halloween thing again this year, with two nights of parties running Friday 30 and Saturday 31 October, both starting at 7pm and going late. It's the same drag-fuelled approach the bar is known for: the laneway gets taken over by performances, an outdoor stage goes up, and the whole place turns into the kind of colourful late-night chaos that's become its trademark. The weekend is rounded out with bloodbag cocktails and the venue's annual Halloween shots menu.
Friday night is the Halloween - Emo Edition, with DJs Vandoll and Kittamine on the decks and drag performer Trixxie Killer on the bill. Entry is free all night, so it's an easy one to drop into without spending much before the drinks start. Saturday is the Monster Mash Laneway Party, which brings in a bigger drag line-up with Deirdre Doo, Karma Gettem and Sticky Waffles, and DJs Queerio and Tiff keeping things moving. Entry on Saturday is A$20.
