An evening cruise on Newcastle Harbour for singles with music, dancing, games and harbour views, featuring multiple DJs and age-specific dance floors.
Newcastle Singles Cruise on the Harbour sets sail from the Queens Wharf Ferry Terminal on Friday 24 July, with the MV Calmer taking local singles out onto the harbour for the evening. It's billed as Newcastle's biggest singles cruise, and the whole night is built around getting people talking rather than just standing around. If you're over the dating app grind, this is one of those things that puts you in a room — or in this case, a boat — with people in the same boat, literally.
There are multiple DJs on board, and the dance floors are split by age group, with dedicated spaces for the 25+ and 55+ crowds, so you can find your own pace. Between the sets, there are icebreaker activities and games to help get the conversation moving, and the harbour views stay as a backdrop throughout. It's an 18+ event, and the food and drink are sorted too: canapés are served on board, and you get a complimentary drink on arrival.

Logistically, it's straightforward. The boat departs from the Queens Wharf Ferry Terminal on Wharf Road in Newcastle, and tickets range from A$65 to A$83. It's a Friday night on the water, so you've got the whole evening to work with.
