Manhunt Newcastle 2026 - Heat 1

Manhunt Newcastle 2026 kicks off with Heat 1 on Saturday 22 August, aboard the MV Calmer on Newcastle Harbour. It's a new competition for 2026, and the whole thing is built around a different kind of judging: Newcastle men are scored on confidence, charisma, personality and stage presence rather than looks. The reward for making it through is a spot in the Grand Final and a share of a A$3,500 cash prize pool.

Contestants are judged across three categories. There's Formal Wear, then Lifestyle Wear — which leans on their profession or trade — and Gym Wear. The audience decides who makes the cut, so the crowd has a say in who moves on. The organisers bill the series as 'The Ultimate Ladies Night Out', and the whole thing is staged as a harbour cruise on the MV Calmer, a three-level superyacht with an open-air sky deck that takes in Newcastle Harbour and beyond.

This is just the first of three nights. Heat 1 is on 22 August, Heat 2 follows on 26 September, and the Grand Final is on 24 October. Men enter for free by email, and the nights are 18+ at a licensed venue.

Heat 1 runs from 8:00pm to 11:00pm, with check-in starting from 7:30pm. It sets off from the Queens Wharf Ferry Terminal on Wharf Road, Newcastle, NSW 2300, aboard the MV Calmer.
