Live AC/DC tribute concert on the harbour aboard the MV Calmer, cruising Newcastle Harbour, with licensed bars and food.
High Voltage - The AC/DC Show is taking to the water on Saturday 15 August, with the tribute act playing aboard the MV Calmer as it cruises Newcastle Harbour. It's a four-hour trip, running from 11:30am to 3:30pm, and the boat departs from Queens Wharf Ferry Terminal at 242-258 Wharf Road. Check-in opens at 11:00am, so you've got plenty of time to get on board before we set off.
The music is spread across three live sets of AC/DC favourites, so it's not just one long stretch of songs — there's room to move and take a break between them. The main deck has a dance floor for when you want to get stuck in, and the sky deck and wrap-around balconies give you waterfront views of the harbour as you go. There are licensed bars on board and food from an onboard chef, so you can eat and drink without leaving the boat.
All Event Cruises is behind the day, and it's an 18+ event, so you'll need a valid photo ID to get on. It's a standing and dance-style gig, with limited, unreserved seating that isn't guaranteed, so keep that in mind if you're planning your day. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Prices run in three tiers: A$40 for Early Bird, A$52 for Second Release, and A$64 for Final Release, so the sooner you book, the less you'll pay. The MV Calmer is described as a unique venue for the occasion, and with the harbour as the backdrop, it's a bit different from your usual pub gig.
